LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION

An application for Letters of Administration occurs where a deceased person’s estate needs to be wound up or had assets in their name solely and there is no valid Will (i.e. the deceased person died ‘intestate’). To obtain Letters of Administration from the Supreme Court, an interested party (usually a family member) can make an application to act on behalf of the estate.
